‘Jesus Stop The Lawn Mower”

I was anticipating the enjoyment of sleeping in on a Saturday morning, but through the open window came a noise that rudely and abruptly awakened me.  My neighbor was mowing his lawn way too early.  As frustration crept in, I knew that there was no way I could continue to rest peacefully.  My proverbial bubble had been popped.  Many things try to steal our peace.  Circumstances clamor for our attention, soured relationships try to distract us, and unexpected trials work to steal our peace.  At those moments we can either let the frustration grow, or we can turn to the one that offers peace that is bigger than our circumstances and stronger than our trials.  In the Bible, God promised to keep you in perfect peace if you stay centered on Him.  I know it is difficult to stay focused on Christ when your peace is being attacked, but it is worth it.  I have experienced a peace that passes all understanding guarding my heart and mind in the most difficult of situations.  He did it for me and I know He will do it for you.  Why not give it a try?
