“Three Little Words From Jesus”

I know someone who never heard their father say, “I love you” until they were forty years old sitting beside his bed as he was dying. He was not a bad dad, he simply never told his family that he loved them. The moment that she heard those words, something happened deep inside of her heart. She felt complete.

Whether or not you are willing to admit it, I believe that you need to hear those words as well. Each of us needs to hear love expressed from those that we admire and care for. If we hear those words often, we are satisfied in a way that makes life easier. If we never hear those words, we may seek it form dangerous sources. Did you know that there is one person who continually tells you how much he loves you? The God of Creation is continually whispering of His affirming love. And, He wrote an entire book just for you.

The Bible is a love letter and in it God says, “I was willing to give my son’s life so that I could pull you close to me and share my love with you.” Take some time today to come close to Christ. Ask him to share His love with you. Read His book and watch how he placed that love into action. God loves you and wants you to know it.
